Robert Bornstein, PhD, Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Associate Vice President of Health Sciences, Professor of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neurology is a neuropsychologist who joined the Department of Psychiatry in 1985. Dr. Bornstein serves as Director of the Ohio State University Neuropsychology Laboratory which completes over 750 neuropsychological assessments per year. He has published over 100 papers on neuropsychological topics ranging from neuropsychological deficits in schizophrenia to the stability of neuro-cognitive patterns among patients with HIV. He also specializes in the assessment and management of sports related concussion. He is the team neuropsychologist for the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Columbus Crew and the Ohio State University athletic department. His clinical interests include memory and frontal lobe disorders, psychological testing, intellectual testing, and neuropsychological assessment and neurological dysfunction in HIV infection.
